Mazda DPF Filter Removal

and Mazda DPF Filter Delete Solutions by GAD TUNING LTD

Mazda 6 2.0 ( 143bhp ) as well as 2.2 185bhp MZR-CD, a DPF removal by reprogramming the vehicle’s ECU. This solution readjusts the software of the ECU to the ‘no-dpf-state’, thus providing a permanent fix for all DPF related issues.

Mazda 5 and 6 series factory fitted with denso ecu control system. The Mazda 5 and Mazda 6 are quite popular cars on UK’s roads. Diesel particulate filter (DPF) problems starting from 40k on the clock – depend from the driving conditions. The DPF system fitted to the mazda is bringing a lot of the problems to owner of the car. Expensive dealer visits – dpf regeneration which can cost upto £200 at your Mazda main dealership.

Some filters are single-use (disposable), while others are designed to burn off the accumulated particulate, either through the use of a catalyst (passive), or through an active technology, such as a fuel burner which heats the filter to soot combustion temperatures, through engine modifications (the engine is set to run a certain specific way when the filter load reaches a pre-determined level, either to heat the exhaust gases, or to produce high amounts of NO2, which will oxidize the particulates at relatively low temperatures), or through other methods. This is known as “filter regeneration”. Sulfur in the fuel interferes with many “regeneration” strategies, so almost all jurisdictions that are interested in the reduction of particulate emissions, are also passing regulations governing fuel sulfur levels.

Although not always possible we do advise upon changing the OIL and Filter after a DPF removal service due to diesel in the OIL.

GAD Tuning DPF Removal

GAD Tuning been successful in the removal of DPF filters for all other vehicles since 2009, however, with the Mazda 6 the problem was that there was no way of accessing the ECU data chip directly through the OBD port and not much luck chip-tuning via a BDM tool on a bench either. The Mazda 6 (both RF7K  RF8G / RF8X) are fitted with a Denso engine ECU unit and is heavily encrypted. The Mazda 6 DPF itself is relatively easy to remove as it sits in the middle section of the exhaust just below the downpipe but physically removing the Mazda 6 DPF was never the problem this was a case of the ecu software using a different DPF structure
