DTC Fault Codes & Engine Management
A diagnostic trouble code is a starting point for investigating a vehicle's behaviour. If you are researching DTC or fault-code removal, explain the fault itself so the enquiry can focus on its cause rather than simply making a warning disappear.
A code needs its context
Include the exact fault codes, which module reported them, and when the warning appears. Describe any running symptoms, recent repairs or software changes. The same code can need a different investigation depending on the vehicle and the circumstances in which it was stored.
Clearing a code and correcting its underlying cause are different things. A recurring warning, reduced-power condition or emissions-related fault should be discussed with the relevant diagnostic information and repair history.
Previously modified vehicles
If the vehicle has been remapped or has non-standard hardware, include that specification. It helps establish whether your enquiry concerns an existing calibration, a replacement component or a separate mechanical issue. GAD Tuning can then discuss the scope of the enquiry without promising that every fault can or should be suppressed in software.
