DSG & Automatic Gearbox Remapping
Engine and gearbox calibration should be considered together when discussing a modified vehicle. For a DSG or automatic gearbox enquiry, GAD Tuning needs to identify the transmission and understand the behaviour you want to change.
The gearbox matters as much as the engine badge
Different transmissions and software versions can be fitted across a model range. Include the vehicle year, engine, gearbox details and any previous engine or transmission software changes. Explain whether your concern is shift behaviour, response or the relationship between the engine tune and the gearbox.
An engine remap does not mean that every car needs the same gearbox changes. Compatibility and the intended result should be established for the actual transmission rather than assumed from another owner's setup.
Separate an existing fault from a tuning request
Tell us about warning lights, slipping, harsh shifts or other symptoms before discussing performance software. Provide any diagnostic information and servicing history you have. A calibration enquiry should not overlook a problem that needs diagnosis or mechanical attention.
For mobile work, include your postcode and ask us to confirm what is appropriate for your vehicle. Available software functions and the setting for the work are assessed individually.
