KESS V2 ECU Remapping & Programming

Legacy product information

KESS V2 featured in GAD Tuning's earlier ECU programming range. This guide is for owners researching the tool or looking for advice about an existing unit. Tool supply, subscriptions, file services and support arrangements need to be confirmed for each enquiry.

The role of an ECU programming tool

An ECU programming interface transfers software between a vehicle's control unit and a computer. The original KESS V2 information described reading and writing supported ECUs, managing calibration files and working with master or slave configurations. The programming interface and the calibration written to the vehicle are separate parts of the process.

Compatibility should be checked against the exact ECU and software version. A vehicle model name alone does not establish that a particular tool, connection method or file is suitable. An existing tool's configuration also matters when discussing file access or support.

Tell us about your equipment and vehicle

For an existing KESS V2 enquiry, include the tool model, whether it is a master or slave unit, the vehicle details and any ECU identification information you already have. Explain whether you need help understanding compatibility, an existing calibration or a vehicle that has previously been tuned.

If your aim is to have your own car remapped, you do not need to choose a programming tool first. Send GAD Tuning your vehicle details and postcode so we can discuss an appropriate mobile tuning enquiry.
